SOUTH FLORIDA BUSINESS JOURNAL: Palm Beach’s only private island sells for a record $152M

By Brian Bandell – Real Estate Editor, South Florida Business Journal

A firm led by luxury homebuilder Todd Michael Glaser sold a Palm Beach mansion on its own private island for $150 million – the biggest home sale in South Florida so far this year.

The 21,406-square-foot home at 10 Tarpon Isle was sold by 10 Tarpon Island LLC, managed by Glaser, to MCI Properties, managed by New York attorney Christian D. Curtis, with West Palm Beach attorney Bradley McPherson as authorized signatory. Bank of America provided the buyer with a $75 million mortgage, which was for a second home.

While the price on the deed was $150 million, MLS listed the price at $152 million.

Suzanne Trapani-Frisbie of the Corcoran Group represented the seller in the deal, while Margit Brandt of Premier Estate Properties worked with the buyer.

Glaser’s company acquired the property for $85 million in 2021 and completed major renovations and an expansion, more than doubling the size of the home. It’s located on a rate private island connected to the town by a short bridge. The 2.26-acre site has more than 300 feet of water frontage and a dock.

It features 11 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, seven half-bathrooms, a wet bar, a fireplace, a lighted tennis court, a pool with a bar, a loggia, a summer kitchen, an entertainment room, a massage room, a hair and nail salon, a steam room, a sauna, a wine room, and a home gym.

This is the biggest sale yet for Glaser, who has made a lucrative career of buying, renovating and reselling luxury homes in South Florida. He declined comment.
